FAQ
Questions, answered plainly.
Everything we get asked about sharing, pricing, privacy and what the app does. Still stuck? We answer email like humans.
Sharing & caregivers
Yes. Every plan includes both parents at no extra cost, from the first day of the trial. You each get your own login and see the same baby's log update in real time. Want a nanny, daycare or grandparents too? The Family plan covers up to five caregivers.
When anyone on the care team logs a feed, nap, change or temperature, it appears on every other caregiver's phone within moments, with their name attached. No more "did you already feed her?" The answer is on the screen.
Yes. Every caregiver on the log gets the same reminders and the same "Anne logged a feed" pings, on their own phone, in their own language. Quiet hours keep them silent at night.
Yes. Twins and siblings each keep their own clean log, and you switch between them in a tap. Standard covers up to two babies; Family and Advanced go up to ten on one account.
Pricing & plans
Three plans. Standard is $35 a year or $5.99 a month, for both parents and up to 2 babies. Family is $50 a year or $7.99 a month, for up to 5 caregivers and 10 babies. Advanced is everything in Family plus First Foods and 25 Ask Little Bean conversations a month, for $99.99 a year or $12.99 a month. Prices show in your local currency. The full breakdown is on the pricing page.
Little Bean is a paid app with a 14-day free trial on Standard and Family. Try every feature free for 14 days: logging, caregiver sync, reminders, stats, the health log, milk stock and Ask Little Bean. After the trial you pick a plan to keep logging; reading your history stays free.
Two things today: First Foods, the guide to starting solids, and a bigger Ask Little Bean allowance: 25 conversations a month instead of 3. A third is coming: Room, which lets you look in on your sleeping baby from a second phone, with picture and sound and nothing recorded. Everything else, including the tracker, the health log, milk stock, Apple Watch and reminders, is in every plan. Advanced has no trial.
Yes, in your App Store or Google Play settings. No email, no retention call. You keep access until the period you have paid for ends, and you can export everything before you go.
Privacy & data
No. We do not sell your data, we do not train on it, and there are no third-party ad trackers in the app. We built Little Bean for our own baby first, and we treat your child's record the way we wanted ours treated.
In the European Union. The full detail, including the few services we use to run the app and send email, is in the privacy policy.
Any time. Export a designed PDF or a full CSV of feeds, sleep, diapers and growth from inside the app, and request real deletion whenever you like. No support ticket, no waiting. Health log export is not built yet; it is on the list.
Two parents in Amsterdam, not a data company. It started as the tracker we wanted for our own son, and it is still built and answered by the same family. Email goes to a human.
The app
Feeding (breast timers, bottle volume, pumping, solids), sleep (naps and nights, with a live timer), diapers, growth on WHO percentile curves, a health log (temperature, medicine, symptoms), milk stock, skills by age, teething and moments. Plus day-pattern stats and weekly, age-based guides. See it all on the product page.
A question box inside the app, powered by Claude, the AI model made by Anthropic. Ask what is typical for a baby your baby's age, or how your own week is going. Every answer is drawn from Little Bean's clinically reviewed guides, with the passage quoted underneath so you can see where it came from. Nothing is sent until you switch it on, your names are never sent, and it is not medical advice.
Standard and Family include 3 conversations a month, each up to 10 questions long. Advanced includes 25 conversations a month, also up to 10 questions each. During the 14-day trial you get 3 conversations of 5 questions. A conversation is one topic; follow-up questions inside it do not count against the allowance.
No, by design. The health log records what you measured and shows it on a timeline; it never interprets. No thresholds, no colour changes, no alerts, no diagnosis. Whether a reading matters is a question for your pediatrician, and the log makes that call easier to have.
Log what you pump into the fridge or the freezer. The app keeps the totals, shows the oldest batch first, and lets you log a bottle straight from stock so the count stays right.
Skills lists what babies often start doing at each age; tick one off when you spot it and keep a photo. Teething is a chart of all twenty teeth, tapped as each comes in. Moments is the album of firsts, sorted by age.
A guide to starting solids, one food at a time: how to prepare it at each age, what it should look like on the tray, and its choking risk. The food lists are localized for 16 markets, so what a Dutch and a Japanese parent see differs on purpose. First Foods is part of the Advanced plan.
Yes. The week-by-week guides are clinically reviewed by local experts and localized for 16 markets. They are the same guides Ask Little Bean quotes from.
Both, natively, on the same version. One parent on an iPhone and the other on a Pixel share the exact same log. Apple Watch and Lock Screen live timers are iPhone features. iOS 16+ and Android 11+.
Yes, on every plan. Start feed and sleep timers, log diapers and growth and see what happened last, right from your wrist. The complication shows the time since the last feed, sleep or diaper, and a running timer counts live on your face. Needs watchOS 10 or later; it installs from the iPhone's Watch app. Step-by-step guide.
Yes. Metric or imperial, ml or oz, 24-hour or AM/PM, your date format and your language: English, Dutch, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese (Portugal and Brazil), Italian, Polish, Norwegian, Danish, Swedish, Finnish, Korean, Japanese and Russian. Set it once and the whole app speaks the way you do.
